A Telephone Story

Hello, hello dear, you called?” Listening to his anxious and angry tone at the other end, is clearly telling me that he is the one – for me. A missed call is just probably that I didn’t hear my phone ringing. But after a few missed calls, it may means either I am angry or unhappy with him or I may meet with any problems. And clearly, in his heart, he doesn’t want any of that to happen to me.

TELEPHONE, the cable that strings our hearts together, which stay 368 kilometers apart, is a definite must-bring gadget wherever and whenever we are. It is an assurance to know that we are both safe and sound every minute when we are not together. It is also a potion to lessen our missing each other when we are apart. A simple call or text “I love u dear” may bring smiles on our faces when we are stressed, lonely or unhappy.

Our 7 years relationship strongly hold on to the existence of telephone. Out of the 2555 days, we only get to see each other for 2 days once a month as he works in Kuala Lumpur and I, in Johor Bahru. Telephone builds our trust and strengthens our love for each other. If candle needs air to keep burning, then we need telephone to keep our love going.

AND THE FIRST PRIZE WINNER of An Actual Day Wedding Package worth RM 2500.00 IS…………………………………….!

~Angel & Kelvin~

It has been 4 years, and this was how it started..
He was born in Pasir Panjang, Port Dickson. His parents told him: You become eldest brother 20min after you’re born.
She was born in Butterworth, Penang. Her parents told her: You’re as old as TV3.
In the the first 20 years of their life, their direct distance is 376.06km while the driving distance is 470.09km.
One fine day, the distance between them was brought nearer to 200m, that was the distance between their hostel. They became coursemate.
Their first meeting was at somewhere in between in 200m.
“May you please help me with this?” He’s holding the assignment that to be finished by all new students.
Looking at his red little nose that flare up due to sinusitis, she agreed.
That night, she was working hard while he was sleeping tight.
That year, their distance brought further nearer to 2m. This was the distance between their room, they became roommate.
And he also always brought her around with his motorbike.
They study, practice, go pasar malam, dinner, watch movie together.
The very first movie that he watched with her was ‘The Break-up’ (sweat!!)
He confess neither with candle light dinner nor flower, but she nod her head (Strange!)
He likes drumstick while she only take chicken breast; he likes sport while she’s totally not, this is how they live with each other, compensating each other.
In 2008, for better development, they went to Singapore.
They have gone through ups and downs together, and support each other at this brand new place.
And in 2011, she went Perth for business trip for 2 months.
He knocked her door surprisingly in Australia.
He brought her lots of food that she missed, and the nasi lemak which the fried chicken was taken away by the custom officer.
Over there, while they were viewing the amazing Perth river night view, he popped with the question, marry me, believe me!
She shocked, and the ring that had been with him for the past 5 years was holding tight on her finger on the next second!

Dominic + Elizabeth

Dominic and Elizabeth grew up in Australia since young.  They had their wedding ceremony back in Australia early March 2011. Since Dominic was born here in Malaysia, they also had in mind to have another wedding ceremony back here in Seremban, Malaysia to celebrate their love with all their Malaysian relatives and friends. In the preparation of this wedding, a lot of arrangements were done via email and long distance phone calls from Australia with the help of their relatives back here in Malaysia. It is really amazing to see how a wedding brings everyone together and help each other in the preparation.

Their wedding held here although was a simple one, still it was filled with fun, laughter and great moments.  I truly had alot of fun recording their wedding from the preparation in the morning till the dancing at night.  The wedding was truly a great blend of western culture and eastern tradition. It’s been a great honor to be able to share all the fun with them.
